The bankruptcy of Thomas Cook will not affect our SQA insurance

AYAX SQA will continue to function as usual and will maintain the same guarantees for its insured.

Last Monday, British tour operator Thomas Cook declared bankruptcy after the emergency negotiations with its main shareholder, the Chinese investment group Fosum, and its creditors for a capital injection that allowed it to continue operating failed

The company, the oldest, and the the second largest in the world, has completely ceased all its operations immediately leaving 600,000 customers in different destinations around the world and canceling 8, 6 million seats in 38 countries, being Spain the most affected country after the United Kingdom.

Despite the serious consequences that this situation has generated, both the tourism sector and the insurance sector, in AYAX, our SQA insurance will continue to function normally and will maintain the same guarantees for its insured. Only Norwegian and German Condor Flug airlines are the ones that will be outside our usual coverage.
